I'm Swirly Wanx Sinatra — a tattoo artist based in Brisbane, Australia, with over 20 years of experience across two continents. I started my career in the UK before planting roots in Brisbane in 2004, and I haven't looked back since.
Over the years I've worked across just about every style — traditional Polynesian, Māori and Samoan Tattau, western tribal, colour realism, black and grey — but I eventually found my real passion: intricate, geometric pattern work. It's what I love, it's what I'm known for, and it's where I put everything I have.
My pattern work has been recognised internationally. People fly in from interstate and overseas specifically for it, which still blows my mind. Every piece is completely unique — drawn fresh for each client, shaped around their body, their vision, and their story.
I believe tattooing should feel like a collaboration, not a transaction. If you're new to tattoos — or just new to getting something this personal — I'll guide you through the whole process. No pressure, no rush. I'm also happy to work within your budget where I can, so don't be shy about having that conversation.
